Locks: Canal de la Marne au Rhin: Western Section (Moselle slope) 13 - 27

Unusually, none of these locks had names so I have just included the name of the nearest village or town. 

Écluses 13 & 14 Foug (6,00m)

This actually a pair of locks and we believe a pair was built so that boats coming through the tunnel above do not hold up boats waiting to come through.  They replaced the original locks 13 and 14 as lock 13 was too close to the tunnel entrance thus causing hold ups.  This is why these locks are double the normal depth of locks on this canal.
